Sailing The World On A Lagoon Catamaran For 13 Years – Mike

In 2010, Mike Houston embarked on an extraordinary adventure that would take him across the globe, “After 13 unforgettable years of sailing, the Lagoon 440 has never let me down. It’s a forgiving, reliable boat that gave me the confidence to take on any challenge. My most cherished memories are the two years cruising the Med with my son – time I’ll never get back but will always treasure. To anyone thinking about it, my advice is simple, just get out there and do it.”

A Journey with the Lagoon 42: Owner Story – Lisa and Greg

Here’s why Lisa and Greg made the decision to buy a Lagoon 42 and why they are loving it., “We’d heard great things about Lagoons, and what stood out was how many owners stayed loyal – buying one Lagoon, then another, and another. That really spoke to us. The Lagoon 42 is the perfect fit for us as a couple, especially with the helm so well connected to the rest of the boat. Living aboard has been not only doable but genuinely enjoyable. From the Sunshine Coast to the Whitsundays, we’ve had so many incredible experiences already.”

The Lagoon 42 Is a Very, Very Nice Boat – A Bluewater Owner’s Review – Drew and Eloise

Drew Hakin is no stranger to ocean crossings. After plenty of research and hands-on experience, he chose the Lagoon 42 as the perfect catamaran for his global adventure, and it hasn’t disappointed.
“We looked around quite a bit, and investigated the opposition! We went for the Lagoon based on a number of things. The 42ft is the right size for us, and she has a good feel when under sail. She has a good mix of features we wanted in a catamaran… the combination of layout and space was just what we were looking for. Importantly, the Lagoon 42 sails well short handed. I am used to a large monohull, sailing single handed. Comparably, the 42 is extremely easy to sail.
The 42 is a very, very nice boat. I’d be hard pressed to fault it. Usually with a new boat, after a while you find things you’d like to be different, but there’s little of that with the Lagoon, it has been very well thought through.”
