Whitsundays Lagoon Escapade 2025 Highlights: Sailing, Games & Community
20 Boats, 52 Participants, and Endless Fun
The Whitsundays Lagoon Escapade 2025 was everything we hoped for and more, bringing together Lagoon owners from across Australia for two unforgettable days at Cape Gloucester Resort. Set against the turquoise waters and golden beaches of the Whitsundays, the event celebrated adventure, connection, and the incredible Lagoon community.
With perfect weather, a gentle sea breeze, and breathtaking scenery, it was the ultimate reminder of why we all love life on the water.

Day 1: Arriving in Paradise
Sundowners by the Sea & The White Welcome Party
As Lagoon owners arrived at Cape Gloucester, the excitement was palpable. One by one the TMG Yachts team watched as 18 Lagoon Catamarans anchored in the bay. By midday it was time to greet the owners with their goodie bags, thanks to Rollytasker Sails Australia, filled with many fun gifts from our sponsors.
The evening began with sundowners, hosted by YOTI, as the sun dipped below the horizon and set the sky ablaze in shades of orange and pink.
“There’s nothing better than meeting fellow Lagoon owners in this beautiful Whitsundays location,” said one guest.
Dressed in white, Lagoon owners gathered for a spectacular beachfront banquet. Long tables, and warm coastal air set the tone for the evening. Between lively trivia, great food, and plenty of laughs, this was the perfect way to kick off the escapade.

Day 2: Sailing, Games, and Goonie Spirit
Lagoon Flotilla
Wednesday morning started with breakfast delivered to the boats, followed by the much-anticipated flotilla. Anchors up, Lagoon owners tuned into Lagoon Radio (AKA channel 73) and formed the iconic Lagoon circle for a breathtaking aerial photo.
The conditions were perfect, a light breeze carried us smoothly on the relaxed sail around Middle Island and back.
“Just the right wind, perfect weather, and stunning views,” one Lagoon owner shared.
Another, almost teary said, “it was magical being surrounded by all the Lagoons, it got me emotional, I never thought I would have been in this position so I felt extra lucky.”
Lunch, Games, and Paddleboard Races
Back at Cape Gloucester, Whitsundays Discount Marine treated guests to a relaxed lunch overlooking the water. Soon after, laughter filled the beach as the games began. From flags to the classic thong throwing competition, everyone embraced their competitive side, but the standout event was the paddleboard race, rounding the Kick n Back float kindly donated by the owners of a Lagoon 450 Moor RnR, which had the crowd cheering from start to finish.
Everyone loves bring out their child like side, “the highlight was honestly watching the games,” said one owner.

Community Connection
While the activities and scenery were unforgettable, the real highlight for many was meeting like-minded people who share the same passion for Lagoon life. Whether catching up with old friends or making new ones, the escapade created memories that will last a lifetime.
“It’s not just about the boats, it’s about the people, the stories, and the community,” said one Lagoon owner.
