SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES

The Beneteau Italia Factory takes its commitment to environmental responsibility seriously and the shipyard has adopted several eco-friendly practices in its production processes.

Hull Construction: The hulls of these prestigious yachts are constructed using end-grain balsa, which are materials known for their sustainable attributes. These materials are infused, ensuring a strong yet environmentally conscious foundation for the vessels.

Deck Utilization: When it comes to the deck, recycled plastic, in the form of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), is employed as a key component of the construction process. This approach helps minimize waste while still maintaining the highest standards of quality and durability.

Bio resin: Even the smaller components of these yachts contribute to a greener approach. They are crafted using bio-resins, which are more environmentally friendly than traditional resins. This injection moulding process ensures that every aspect of yacht construction is mindful of its ecological impact.

PRESTIGE M8 PRODUCTION PROCESS

The production of the PRESTIGE M8 at the Beneteau Italia Factory is a meticulously orchestrated process that showcases the shipyard’s expertise and dedication to quality.

Hull Construction: The production begins with the construction of the hull. Using infusion technology, the hull is assembled in three parts – one for each hull and the nacelle in between. This technique ensures precision and strength in the structure.

Deck Creation: The deck of the yacht is crafted upside down, using a one-shot infusion method. Once completed, the entire assembly can be rotated using a specialized frame, allowing for easy integration with the hull.

Assembly Line: The assembly line is where the yacht truly takes shape. The wooden components, meticulously prepared by the skilled craftsmen, are integrated into the hull. With approximately 30 modules required to create each PRESTIGE M8, this stage is a testament to the shipyard’s attention to detail.

Final Stages: As the yacht progresses down the production line, it goes through a series of stages, each taking around a month to complete. These stages include the installation of systems, interior and exterior finishing, and quality control checks.

Testing and Commissioning: Once the yacht is fully assembled, it is ready for a month-long period of intensive testing and commissioning. This phase ensures that every aspect of the yacht functions flawlessly before it is presented to the client.

Sea Trials: The true test of a PRESTIGE Yacht’s capabilities is in the open sea. These yachts are launched directly into the sea from the shipyard, allowing for immediate sea trials and ensuring that they are ready for the client’s ultimate adventure.
