Les Sables d’Olonne Tour

Marnie travels to Les Sables d’Olonne to give you a tour of the quaint town, which is home to Lagoons ranging from 40-46 feet.

Les Sables d’Olonne is also a town steeped in the tradition of sailing, home to the world-famous Vendee Globe solo around the world race, this is a place full of passion and enthusiasm for all things sailing.

Whether you are travelling directly to Nantes Airport a short 1-hour drive or train ride from Les Sables d’Olonne or travelling via Paris for a stopover, only a 4-hour train ride away. Les Sables d’lOnne is easily accessible when travelling internationally from Australia.

Accommodation

When you arrive, there is an abundance of fantastic accommodation to settle in before your official handover, TMG suggests The Admiral Hotel.

Restaurants

Walking down the street, this quaint area really feels like France. Allow the canals are a range of restaurants our favourite is The Galway run by Yannick.

Ocean Side

Wherever you go, the water won’t be far, a town surrounded by canals and pristine beaches with a fully protected harbour, perfect for training. 

SHOPS

Stocking a catamaran for a journey means lots of gear and E.Leclerc has everything you will need, a huge centre a short drive away.

Lagoon Commissioning

Lagoon has an onsite facility opposite the Lagoon commissioning dock. They are onhand and available to ensure the handover goes smoothly.

SAS

SAS assist in the preparation of the boat and oversee all of the work that Lagoon do directly onsite. This is a great extra set of eyes.

ROBIN MARINE

Across from the Lagoon commissioning dock is Robin Marine your go-to electric supplier. They can help with all your aftermarket work and customisations.

RC Marine

This huge chandlery is conveniently located a short walk from your boat. You will easily be able to pick up any supplies and ensure you are ready for your adventure.
