Lagoon wins at Asian Marine & Boating Awards 2022
On September 16, the 2022 Asian Marine & Boating Awards ceremony was held in Shanghai, China. This event recognizes brands that have demonstrated outstanding achievements over the past year.
We are delighted to announce that Lagoon received the annual “Environmental Pioneer” award, created this year by the China Shanghai International Boat Show committee for honoring sustainable development.
The jurors were impressed with Lagoon for its use of new sustainable raw materials. Over the years, the brand has taken various steps to minimize its impact on the marine environment, from sourcing and product design to catamaran production and communication activities.
The new Lagoon 51 is proof of this. It has been designed to meet the requirements of the new generation of owners: an elegant, comfortable and innovative catamaran. The woodwork comes from FSC-certified forests and the upholstery is made using entirely recycled materials. Eco-responsible solutions have been implemented on board, such as XXL-sized solar panels integrated on the coachroof of this latest model from Lagoon, delivering nearly 3000 watts of charging power.
In addition, Lagoon’s two catamaran production sites in France’s Vendée region are ISO 9001, ISO 50001 and ISO14001 certified, and the Bordeaux site, being officially certified in 2023, will allow Lagoon production to be part of a more virtuous and sustainable construction model.
Lagoon is particularly proud of this new award and is continuing to advance in its commitment to limit its environmental impact.
