An Uncensored Boat Walkthrough
Welcome to “Inspired Uncut” by TMG Yacht, a series designed to provide unfiltered and unedited walkthroughs, allowing viewers to experience the boat as if they were right there with us. In this episode, the spotlight is on the Lagoon 51.
Exploring the Exterior
The uncut walkthrough begins with a look at the beautiful and spacious cockpit. With seating and dining to port and a versatile L-shaped bench, the area is perfect for accommodating up to 10 people. The external wet bar, fridge, and optional ice maker offer convenient amenities. Under the day bed, deep storage is highlighted, providing ample space for spare parts, lines, and fenders. The stern features a substantial seat, life raft storage, and the option for a tender lift, enhancing the overall functionality of the boat.
Engine Access and Stern Features
As typical of Lagoon catamarans, the engine access is commendable, providing ample space for engine maintenance. The Lagoon 51 is equipped with 80 horsepower Yanmar engines. Notably, the boat boasts large stern bathing platforms that extend to the vessel’s rail, simplifying side boarding when docked. The walkthrough emphasizes the davit system and the option for a tender lift.
Circulation and Bow Area
Heading towards the bar, the walkthrough highlights the easy circulation on the Lagoon 51. The bow area, being significantly spacious, is showcased as the big sister of the Lagoon 46. The sunken cockpit adds comfort, creating an ideal lounging and seating space. The walkthrough emphasizes the seamless connection to the saloon and the practicality of the big opening window.
Utility Spaces and Sails
Underneath the forward cockpit, utility spaces are revealed, including a generator and extensive storage. Moving on to the sails, the boat is rigged with a standard Genoa on a manual furling system. Details about the anchor wash and deck wash outlet are provided, showcasing the boat’s functional features.
Solar Capacity and Fly Bridge
A key design feature highlighted is the increased solar capacity on the Lagoon 51. Flexible panels cover various parts of the coach roof and fly bridge, providing around 2,800 WS. The walkthrough proceeds to the fly bridge, emphasizing its dual access, controls, and the potential for enclosure with a clear canopy.
Internal Features: Cockpit, Saloon, and Galley
The internal tour begins with the main cockpit, emphasizing the internal access. The gas locker, adjustable bench seat, and overall layout are detailed. Moving into the saloon, the two-part galley and helm station are explored. The use of Elegance line finish and the potential for a retractable 42-inch TV are highlighted.
Master Cabin and Bathroom
Descending to the master cabin, the walkthrough covers the expansive and well-designed space. Features include a sleeping area, writing desk, day bed, walk-in robe, and an ensuite bathroom. Storage options, including the unique walk-in robe, are showcased in detail. The bathroom offers a separate shower compartment, him-and-hers sinks, and innovative storage solutions.
Port Side Cabins
Moving to the port side, attention is given to the three cabins. The forward cabin is introduced as the Ford cabin, featuring a sizable berth and private bathroom, which can also serve as a day head. The midship cabin, similar to the master, provides a spacious and comfortable experience. The walkthrough concludes with the aft cabin, equivalent in size to the master cabin.
Eco-Friendly Upholstery
A unique feature of the Lagoon 51 is its commitment to sustainability, evident in the 100% recycled fabric used in upholstery.
