Lagoon 60 First Look

Exploring the Innovative NEW 60ft Catamaran

Rowan from TMG Yachts travelled to France to witness the premiere of the cutting-edge Lagoon 60, where innovation meets luxury. With unique side access and an expansive aft terrace, this catamaran redefines cruising comfort.

Innovative Access

Uniquely the Lagoon 60 offers opening sides on both port and starboard, providing easy access to the boat whether docked or underway. Fold-out wings facilitate boarding and provisioning, enhancing convenience for passengers.

Seamless Integration

One of the most striking features of the Lagoon 60 is its open-door design, which creates a seamless transition from the rear cockpit to the main saloon and onto the foredeck. This integration with the ocean creates an unparalleled feeling of being one with the sea, “it’s like a luxury penthouse perched atop a building overlooking the vast expanse of water”, explains Rowan.

Luxurious Tender Lift

Completing the experience is a luxury tender lift that simplifies launching watercraft while also serving as a bathing platform. When raised, it extends the rear cockpit, creating a seamless connection between the boat and the water, embodying the epitome of luxury and comfort.

Versatile Galley Options

The boat offers multiple layout options, with the galley positioned either above or below deck. In the first Lagoon 60, the galley is located below deck, leaving space for a spacious bar area on the upper level. The fully equipped chef’s galley has ample preparation space, a full-size fridge and a dining nook. While the bar offers refrigeration, a wine cellar, and plenty of storage, making it a versatile area for entertainment, ideally placed within the saloon.

Comfortable Interior

The interior of the Lagoon 60 exudes luxury and comfort. The saloon features a large L-shaped lounge and a dining area suitable for up to eight people. Additionally, there’s a popup TV for entertainment, ensuring that passengers can relax in style while enjoying their favourite shows or sports events.

Optimal Ventilation

The boat boasts excellent ventilation throughout, with large sliding doors at the rear providing complete airflow from bow to stern. Furthermore, a large opening window at the front enhances ventilation, ensuring a comfortable environment even on the hottest days without the need for air conditioning.

Foredeck entertainment space

Stepping through the forward door you are greeted by a bow area with ample seating ideal for relaxation in the open air. Optional features like a Euro awning with carbon poles provide respite from the sun.

Optimized Performance and Hull

Despite its spacious interior, the Lagoon 60 maintains excellent performance attributes thanks to its hull design. With a shallow draft of 1.65 meters, the vessel can navigate close to shore while maximizing interior volume. The sailing setup includes electric furlers for effortless operation as well as all lines leading to the helm area.

Spacious Master Cabin

The master cabin is a luxurious retreat with a large bed offering a commanding view through expansive hull windows. A popup TV and a convenient desk add to the comfort and functionality of the space, while ample storage ensures a clutter-free environment. To the rear is a fully stationed bathroom with a lux vanity and separate toilet. An aft door gives seamless access to the sea, “owners can take a dip and head straight into the shower,” emphasises Rowan.

Versatile Cabin Layout

The boat features four cabins, including two VIP cabins with ensuite bathrooms and plenty of storage. Additionally, a central cabin can serve as a twin bunk also with a day head, offering flexibility for guests’ needs.
